Emergency Motor Mobile Hospital
Health remains a serious concern in Darfur, in spite of the signs that humanitarian assistance carried out by the United Nation's and NGOs is marking an impact. Access to basic health care is still deficient, and there is still an important gap in providing care in many displaced camps locations. Out of an estimated 148 displaced locations in Darfur only 40% are covered with basic health care. The reason of not covering the whole camps is partially due to the lacking of health facilities and health personnel. Mobile hospital caring staff, medical equipment and medicine will serve many areas with a complete package of health care specifically caring for weak vulnerable groups children and pregnant mothers and elderly who could not move for a long distances to seek care in towns in areas with difficult transportation as well as lacking of financial means to pay for traveling expenses. Mobile hospital will reach people who are in bad need where they live. Mobile hospital will fill the gap of inaccessibility and inequity in health care as a human right basic component.
The aim of this hospital is to improve accessibility to basic heath care in violence affected areas in North Darfur, where there is existing health care rare. Adding a new mobile hospital will serve to cover more war affected areas, save life and reduce mortality rate.
