With collaboration of local partners Helping Hand has established four Skills Development Institutes at various areas affected by the earthquake. Main objectives to establish these institutes are:
- To reconstruct an income generation infrastructure for the affected families in region
- To teach a skill set that will help the poor to earn money.
- To eradicate the poverty from the local community.
- To provide skilled labor for the economic growth of the country.
- To provide education for a better future and long lasting impact on the state of the region.
Our institutes offer a wide variety of courses aimed towards the people living in the area. Currently we are providing 4 courses but in due time Helping Hand will introduce more courses for the benefit fo the community. The courses’ duration will be one year. After a few years we will start diploma courses with three years duration. The following courses have been introduced initially:
- Computer courses
- Mobile phone repairing and services
- Electrical
- Refrigeration & air-conditioning
