Mobile Healthy Unit (MHU) is a specialized project of Helping Hand to provide healthcare facilities to those who are in pain and misery in the far flung areas. We are currently treating 50-70 patients per day. Our mobile health clinics are providing curative and preventive services through well trained staff comprised of a qualified doctor, nurse and a dispenser. Moreover we have also devised a referral system for the effective and timely treatment of complicated cases.
Helping Hand also provided 10 portable cabins for establishing field hospitals in place of the physical medical facilities that were destroyed by the calamity. Over 2500 injured were operated in emergency phase and around 25000 patients were treated and numerous precious human lives were saved by these field hospitals.
